Green Gooding, an innovative circular economy rental system in Brooklyn is looking for a co-founder who can put his/ her tech skills to good use and make a positive impact for the planet.

About Green Gooding

Green Gooding's vision is to create a world where experience is more important than ownership, one small appliance at a time. We encourage people to rent, what they don't need to own.

Green Gooding puts small cooking and cleaning appliances to good "reuse" by allowing its customers to rent them by the day, for the weekend, or for a week. That's a better investment for the customers, it does not take space in your apartment and it's good for the planet.

So far, over 600 people have used Green Gooding in Brooklyn, and the numbers are going up. Recently, Green Gooding was nominated as one of the three finalists of the Reusies, a leading award for the circular economy in the US & Canada.

But we need help and that's where you come in. Our technology needs a refresh (currently a web app connected to a website) to improve customer's experience, support our development, and take Green Gooding to the future.

Responsibilities

Define Green Gooding technology's vision (web app vs native) and support it's development (web app, website, API integration).

Qualifications

We welcome anyone, whether you are a student, starting your career or want to have a positive impact beside your corporate job. We are looking for someone who can code & develop software, understand web and application development, website integration and want to make a difference for the planet and communities. A good sense of humor is also a nice plus.

Location

Ideally located in the New York City area to be able to meet on a regular basis.

Compensation

Green Gooding does not offer direct compensation at the moment (we are in a pre-seed mode looking for investors), but as a co-founder you will get future equity (negotiable percentage through a vesting schedule).
